Computer System Info

The studio computer is comprised of two work stations and three servers. One station for multi-tracking, the other for Cd mastering and sound editing etc. Also there are servers for added protection against the many horrors of hard disk recording. The file server is a dedicated for storing works in progress as well as the studio's sample library. The recovery server is just what it sounds like. This server backs up the whole system in case of major system failer or failer of any component. From this server the whole system can be restored from scratch in about and hour and be up and running again. So there is always at least two or three copies of any works in progress as well as system files, programs, setup files. This may seem to be over-kill, but it's always better to be safe than sorry. This server also acts as an archive for finished projects for future retrieval. The third server is a Proxy server which acts as a gateway to the internet as well as firewall to protect the system from outside intrusions. And also runs the studios communication system.
